Something New : Mercer Island

Laurel and Jon will be married on October 29th (we think ... silly Army schedules!). Either way, today her in-laws threw her a very beautiful bridal shower. I handed down "Betty" my wedding Voo Doo doll that brought me my good luck (and rain) on our wedding day. I also made her some travel bags!

I told her I would be diligent on taking pictures of the shower! I thought I did a decent job at getting pictures of the details and of people visiting.

We started off with some mimosas!
And some hydrangeas

We had some wonderful finger foods, and then Laurel opened gifts, and one of her to be aunt in law's made her a beautiful "Bow-quet" which is a pretty wonderful tradition at a shower.

It was a lovely afternoon of visiting, eating and showering Laurel with gifts to adorn her and Jon's new home in Texas! Rose, Laurel & Bobbie
