I was determine to make some homemade gifts this year, and now that the recipients have opened their gifts I can share with you some of the cool stuff I made.
I have 3 Nephews that are 100% boy. They are 9, 7 and 4. I found the idea to make a "fort kit" on Pinterest, and I was immediately excited to make it for the boys. Pinterest's was a little fancier than mine is but I was happy how it turned out none the less.
I bought two flat sheets, three flashlights, some rope, and clothespins - all very essential for fort building. Then, I put them in a pillow case that I wrote on with permanent marker (no frills) and tied it shut with a bandanna.
I'm excited to see what the boys create with these supplies!
For my co-workers I made another Pinterest find - Cranberry Lime Vodka.
I took a bunch cranberries (two bags) and poked a hole in each one using a sharp knife.
Then I split them amongst the small canning jars and each jar got a small slice of lime rind.
Then I put a teaspoon of sugar over the top, and filled each jar with vodka.
I made sure it was good and full, and then put the lid and ring on each of them. I gave them a good shake every now and again, and they should be good to
drink in a while.
I hope they taste good... if not, it was pinterest's idea!
