I started out with my goal of fundraising at $100.
A friend made a donation, and told me I had to raise my goal - as she had given me $100!
Wow, the year was off with a bang, reaching my goal in like 24 hours!
But with each donation I've raised my goal just a little bit.
I'm now at $840 total (with a few misplaced donations which I'm working on getting fixed) and I've raised my goal once again for that coveted RED SHIRT $1,000!
I am $160 away and I need YOUR HELP!!! Please PLEASE consider donating to my Relay for Life this year. All Donations are tax deductible and each dollar goes toward a cancer patient or their family, or a researcher who is working to find the cure! Help Us Help Them!
I always thought fundraising for the American Cancer Society was important, but when Mom got sick, and received care through the programs we work to fund, it hits particularly close to home. She used the "Look Good Feel Better" program where women go to learn how to care for their new skin types after chemo, or how to reapply make up to make them feel beautiful when they lose their hair. She also used the wig center in Sioux Falls, helping her be able to buy a wig that didn't cost her an arm and a leg after she shaved her head. I can't even express how awesome those programs are, and there are so many more that are out there! Help us keep these programs going! Help us find the Cure!
