Growing up in a small town, small state, small county really sheltered me from the real world. Some times I get frustrated at that fact, but when stuff like this happens in my city, my home, it terrifies me because it is like nothing I've ever experienced. To think that I was sitting just a few blocks away at my desk when the anarchists took over the streets. It's so scary to know there are people capable of such crazy stuff! Most of the vandals didn't really know what they were protesting, they were just busting shit up. I about died of laughter today when I pulled up the front page of King 5 news and it showed a man busting out the window of Niketown, wearing a pair of Nikes. Yeah. Nice. Any ways... A lot of buildings went on lock down and a lot of people were derailed on their commute home, but I don't think there were any fatalities.
Thanks to the police force who spent most of their day in riot gear protecting civilians.
Thanks to Phoenix Jones Seattle's favorite vigilante for getting his camera time.
Some days when I write posts like this I feel like I've fallen down the rabbit hole, and I live in never neverland. Riots and Vigilantes. Word.
