Anyone Still out there?

Hi, My name is Abby Ronnebeck... I used to write this blog, but it's been around a year since my last post. I guess you can say that 2016 fell into the blogging abyss, and I'm not sure that it's the most terrible thing that's ever happened. I guess starting each post with "Sorry for not blogging" is a good indication that maybe you should take a break from blogging.

I miss this, I miss dumping my thoughts, feelings , etc. on a page, and I've never been good at journaling, but I've always been really good at keeping this up to date.

To be truthful, blogging has really fallen off of everyone's radar. I'll be curious to see what kind of traffic this gets and if this is just a flash in the pan of me wanting to catch up.

I just got home from my Laserfiche Conference in Long Beach CA, making my 3rd trip to Disneyland in just over one year. (January 2016, October 2016 and Feburary 2017). It was a great trip, and I'm settling back in. I've got some laundry to conquer and a house to clean, but I guess it's good that I have a 3 day weekend ahead of me.

Sending love out into the "ether" ... thanks for reading!

Erica's Visit | Sunday

Erica's last day was Sunday, and she was bound and determined to make it worth her while.

So, we hopped on a ferry early in the morning for Bainbridge Island.

Our destination?

Port Gamble....

I mean seriously, look at this... wouldn't it be your desitnation too?

So, we had breakfast at the Cafe there - which was pretty yummy. The Service on the other hand, left something to be desired. Then, we walked around to the little shops in the houses on the main road.

There aren't a ton there... but they're all really cute, and have neat gifts in them!
After breakfast and shopping we headed to Poulsbo - Erica's Dream town to shop some more. We all went our separate ways in the town, but all found eachother at the book store... again :)

Here's where my pictures get a little out of order... but none the less, we wrapped up our day by headed back on the ferry for Seattle, with a quick stop at Uwajimaya and Barnes and Noble, we tucked ourselves in that evening.

Then, Monday morning *Sniff... Sniff* I watched my little lady walk into the Sea Tac Airport to head back home. She navigated the airport like a pro, getting her ticket, through security and to her gate all by herself!

So proud.

Love you sweetie! Thanks so much for a great visit!

Erica's Visit | Saturday

After two full days at Comicon standing on Concrete, we had a tough time getting going on Saturday Morning. So, we took it easy, and went hiking along the Des Moines Creek Trail to see the wooded area and to take her Senior photos.

After a couple hours of that, we went over to Auntie Irene's and had lunch and coffee. It was so beautiful out, we decided to head back to the beach in the Des Moines Marina and play with some sealife and waiting pools.

She was in heaven. This little lady would love to be a Marine Biologist some day. Me on the other hand? I'd rather not touch ANYTHING you see here :)

She could have spent all day here.
Here is the first Sand Dollar I've ever found on a beach. Usually you just see them in ticky tacky tourist shops all bleached out. This one was not alive, so Erica took it home with her.

This one was most definitely still alive, so we left it on the beach. Erica and Eric both held it to feel the movement... I did not. (see? )

After some time at the park, we headed to Gene & Christina's house to connect with them so Cara could give us a tour of PLU. Erica has been considering PLU as her school for next year, but after receiving a great package from Augustana in Sioux Falls, she may end up going there instead.
But, you can't deny that PLU is a gorgeous Campus! Especially at Sunset and a deserted Saturday evening.

After the tour we went to Thai Bistro in Federal Way. It was fun to sit around the table as a family and visit.
