R is for Ronnebeck!

I've been quiet on this blog the past couple weeks... There's nothing "wrong" per se... Just feeling a bit unsettled lately. I am working to get back on an even playing field, but for now, I'm just enjoying the quiet in my life, in my house, and in my brain.  I haven't taken many photos, but I have taken quite a few of the "Kids" as per usual. This one has become quite the hunter. I'm hoping that once our laundry room gets finished we can let her back there to keep the bug and mouse population under control.    We had a leak in our laundry room, so our land lords have been over quite a bit trying to figure out what we're going to do with the remodel. It will be nice to have some new hardware / storage back there. It will be a great thing in the long run! I hope that this post finds you well... I will be back among the living soon... I can feel the spring starting to lift my spirits.

I received a box in the mail yesterday from my brother and sister-in-law and what was in it was something I wasn't expecting, but that completely overwhelmed me. See, in April I got the heartbreaking news that my childhood home in Summit was torn down. It was so hard to see my home in ruins. I never thought they'd tear that house down, and I was hopeful that with every visit to South Dakota, I could go see the place that holds so many warm memories for me. But not everything lasts forever, and it's now torn down to the ground, and from what I understand another house sits in it's place. Tony snuck out to the wreckage and grabbed me a piece of wood from our home. I opened the box and I started to sob uncontrollably. It means so much to me that my brother not only went out to get a piece of wood for himself, but that he thought of me, and sent it here.  I will forever treasure this piece of home. 1 | We're still licking our wounds here in Seattle. We ALMOST HAD IT. Next year Seahawks... Next year! 2 | I went thrifting this past weekend, and I scored 4 new dresses!
