cRAVE

Hello All!
Last night was our debut of cRAVE which is the new worship night for the kids in our youth group at Grace. It’s Tuesday nights at 7pm. Eric is playing the drum with the band and I have been working on the message team trying to give the message of a sermon without giving a sermon.
We had about 35 youth come to cRAVE and most seemed to have a smile on their face when they left, so I think our job was done. I would say the only thing that went askew is halfway through the first testimony the microphone died. It had a really cool effect until that happened. It didn’t have the same effect after that, but I think the message was heard. I will try to post pictures next week, this week I was so busy running around making sure everything was up to par that I didn’t have time to take one.

When we arrived home we were greeted by this little guy…
I like to think that I inspired my neighbors to decorate for Halloween as well! I was pretty excited to see it! I think I will name him Melvin.

I hope that this Blog finds you well, please comment if you feel so inclined I would love to hear what you think of my yammering blogs!

The up and coming weekend the Ronnebeck family is heading to the pumpkin patch, and then we’re going to come home and watch scary movies and make cut out sugar cookies.
><> GOD BLESS!

Until later ♥ Abby

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
