It's a Long Road to Lazy F!

Lazy-F is mid state by Ellensburg / Cle Elum / Thorpe area. It's quite a trip over there and especially over Memorial day weekend, because Sasquatch is also that weekend at the George which is near by. The traffic was awful around the pass. It was fun to get up there and still see snow on the ground! The girls stopped to pose for a quick photo when we stopped for a potty break and so did Casey (below). I was taking a picture of the bus and he asked me to re-take it so he could wave from the window. It made me laugh!
And Nick and I kept every one entertained on the Mini bus by playing rhyming / riddle games as well as Zip Bong, which is a silly game where you try to hide your teeth with your lips while you say zip and bong back and forth to each other. It is impossible to not laugh in this game, the first one to show your teeth loses.
We arrived at Lazy-F around 10pm, (waaay past my sleepy time). When we got there we played Shuffle your buns, and I love all my neighbors. The kids had an absolute blast! It was great to be at Lazy-F! Most of the girls didn't go to sleep at all and some went to sleep around 4am. I slept through it because I was SOOO tired!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
