Awesome God ... Awesome Love

Eric and I went out for pizza tonight with our good friends Tim & Kat.
After pizza Tim & Kat dropped us off at home and Eric and I wandered back into the alley to pick some more berries.
We've both been struggling with getting to church in the morning and as we were standing in the alley picking berries we both agreed that this is the kind of place we see God. There are so many ways we can see God in our daily life and in something as simple as picking blackberries. Look at these beautiful berries. each little bulb filled with juice and all crafted by the same hands that made us. These are the humbling moments in life - the moments when you realize everything around you was made by God, when you remember that everything in your life is beautifully created for you.
In picking black berries and being with Tim and Kat tonight it made me want to share a favorite camp song that I haven't sang for years upon years.
Awesome God... Awesome Love
"He's an awesome God with Awesome Love, he watches me from up above. Living every day by grace new love surrounds us in this place.
When God calls me what do I answer? No thank you or maybe another time. He know's I'm scared how can I do this? By Faith I'll live I know...
He's an awesome God with Awesome Love, he watches me from up above. Living every day by grace new love surrounds me in this place."
I know there's more verses and maybe some of my camp followers can help me out.
But I wanted to share a little something that inspired me today.
And it all started with Blackberries.

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
