I have yet to slip full force into my fall mode this year and I’m not really certain why. Usually when September 1 rolls around I start feeling the need to drink hot coca, wear sweaters, light candles and bake cookies, but the bug hasn’t hit yet.
Perhaps it’s because I haven’t gotten my fall leaves or colors up around home yet, Eric tends to try to ward me off as long as he can, and he’s usually not as ready to give up summer to fall as I am. I haven’t really overly decked out on my desk at work – though I do have quite a few leaves up now and it’s slowly turning just like fall does.
Maybe it’s just been too darn hot here in Seattle to feel like fall. It’s 63 right now and it’s only 9:15am!
Seriously, didn’t father fall get the memo? I’m ready for him to visit!
Last night Mom told me that the leaves across the street from their house (i.e. my favorite place in the fall hands down) are starting to turn beautiful colors and they should be even more turned by the time I get there – aaaah my favorite park in the fall, I can hardly wait to lay my eyes upon it! It turns these brilliant shades, and there are piles of leaves taller than my nephews! My canon and I will have a good time no doubt.
I’m very excited to go to the Midwest next week. I have a “to do” list a mile long and I am ready to tackle it this weekend to get there, even if that means running nonstop till I get on the plane. And come to mention it, running nonstop till I get back on the plane to come home – it will be a busy trip;
looking forward to seeing my girls, my nephews, my niece, my Mom and siblings!
That’s enough of my ramblings for the day
Happy Tuesday everyone J

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off. This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!
