(Paris - at night)
As a side note as you read … My photos have gotten quite out of order and I’m no longer able to tell which went before what where and when. So… Instead of trying to make sense of them, I will just add little captions (like this) under them so you know what the heck the picture is. Thanks for riding along in my world of discombobulation! That being said you will see a little bit of Paris now, and a little when we actually went INSIDE it later
We woke up around 8 am to get an early start on the day – we started ourselves off with a hearty breakfast of pastries and coffee from Starbucks; you can take the girls out of Seattle… you know the phrase. Any ways, then we walked around the Magic Mile Mall which is connected to Planet Hollywood (PH). We ran into a jewelry store and since Mariya and I both LOVE to shop for costume jewelry we were both sucked in at the words “50% off everything in the store”. We love to shop for jewelry because jewelry is pretty much one size fits all! I walked out of the store with one necklace, and Mariya bought a necklace and a ring. That was until we ran into another jewelry kiosk which had flower necklaces we both loved 2 for $25, so we got two of those and Mariya picked up two more necklaces. We figured these were sufficient “Souvenirs” for our trip! We window shopped a little bit more and by 11am we were amazed to find that we hadn’t even left our hotel for the day!
We went out in search of M&M world and were successful. M&M world was just that, and all I could have dreamt it to be. 4 Floors of shopping with M&M’s adorning everything from shower curtains to earrings. I really harnessed my shopping urges because really who needs an M&M spatula for their kitchen when they don’t even use M&M’s to bake with? I walked out with a ½ pound of plain M&M’s in purple and teal, a bag of ‘NEW’ pretzel M&M’s and a note pad with M&M guys that has my Name on it, spelt correctly and everything!

Then we headed across the street to the Luxor and enjoyed Lunch at the "Pyramid Cafe" I had a burger with onions that were sauteed in red wine with blue cheese on top - to die for. After resting our feet at the Luxor and seeing the inside of the great Pyramid of the South we went upstairs to the Atrium level and got our tickets to get into the Titanic museum. This was one of the two things in Vegas I was So excited to see! (the other being LOVE). The museum had tons of factoids that I could repeat in my sleep and a really great atmosphere complete with music. I really enjoyed seeing actual dishes and jewels and passenger items that were brought up from the wreckage. It's amazing to me that 2.5 miles under the ocean at nearly 60,000 pounds per square foot any thing survived. They had a recreation of the ship and how it looks now, and said that in a couple hundred years the wreck that is Titanic may cease to exist because of the water pressure. The best part of the entire exhibit wasn't finding out if you would live or die based on your passenger ticket but when you walked from one room where you touched an iceberg into another room where there was a 150 ft piece of the ship suspended right before your eyes. The only word I could use to describe it would be haunting. The broken glass, the pure size it was as if you could see the entire ship from that one piece. Whoo... I'm getting goose bumps all over again. Needless to say, the exhibit exceeded my expectations in 10 fold. I wish I would have been able to take pictures.
After the exhibit and walking around all morning we were pooped. So we hopped a cab to go back to our hotel room for a little siesta and to get ready for LOVE - which will be in a post of it's own... So ... This is all for now!
