AHA!

Do you ever have thoes "aha!" moments?
Christians call them "God Moments"... thoes moments that the clouds seem to part and the sun shines on you in a way that makes you feel warm and fuzzy and uplifted all at the same time?

I had one of thoes moments today... as I was walking to work, in this urban jungle listening to The Wizard of Oz soundtrack on my Ipod.

I was literally skipping as I walked "weeeeeeeeeeer're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of oz, we hear he is a wiz of a wiz if ever a wiz there was..."

I dont' know what triggered it but I just had that aha! moment that made me oh so happy; so happy to be here, and so happy that my Mom and Aunts will be here to see my life now that it's more well established since the last time they were here.

Just wanted to share my moment...

If you get a moment share it with Eric, and send him a little prayer... he's getting cozied into the dentist chair as I type to get one of his wisdom teeth extracted because it has a cavity... but I tell him... One down two to go!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

Thoughts of the American Pride Persuasion

I sat, mesmerized as I watched the “Breaking News” of the past 24 hours – Osama Bin Laden, Dead. What? I can’t really deny my mixed feelings about posting today. I don’t normally jump into the political rings but I can’t deny the HUGE news that swept our nation yesterday. So, this post has been thought out, a lot, typed really slowly, every word, intentional. Which is a huge leap from my normal ramblings of a Monday morning. We were sitting on the couch watching a movie, the movie ended and Eric turned on the news, and we watched, in awe. Just like September 11 th , I’ll always remember where I was when I heard the news. I can’t say I was ready to strap on a flag superhero cape style, and run up and down the street chanting “USA… USA… USA” like hundreds and thousands of other Americans in DC and New York, but then again, I wasn’t near ground zero, in Pennsylvania or at the pentagon the day that Osama Bin Laden became a household name.
