They're HERE!

My three favorite ladies have officially made it to Washington!
It was such a wonderful ride home from work today starting with a Hug from my Momma, (only a few tears) and then a loving squeeze from everyone else in the car. I doubt Metro will be able to beat that anytime soon!
We went straight home so I could change, and Brenda hopped on Facebook... because Brenda LOVES Facebook!

We were losing Kathy fast to the sandman, as she didn't sleep last night at all - didn't see the point since they had to be at the airport so early.
Mom played with Aquaman and smiled that very Mom smile at me... that smile of being content.
Something was funny on Facebook... Obviously.

I love that moment... It makes me smile...
After some time at the apartment we went to Wallys Chowder house for some fish and chips and chowder, and then we ROLLED out of the restaurant, because we were all so full and sleepy.
We went to the hotel where I was showered with South Dakota Love, a birthday present from Brenda (she sent to the wrong address and was returned to her 3 months later) a box of Bing bars from my Mom (She went to Sam's club... YES) And a box set of Little House on the Prairie books! Love from home... *sigh.
Then we went for a drive, we saw this down at the marina. Eventhough it was really cloudy outside it was fun to watch them scoot by.

Then we cruised down the boardwalk and back home. It was just good to be out and about and with the family! We sent them back to the hotel for some sleepy time, with plans for fun tomorrow! Can't wait!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

Erica's Visit | Wednesday, Thursday & Friday!

Now that we've got the senior photos posted... let's rewind to Wednesday afternoon when she hopped off the plane! I was so excited to have her here! It's been a long awaited event, we started talking about this last year! Erica graduates in May and this was her graduation present from Auntie Abby & Uncle Eric. She got to choose, either we would fly there to attend her graduation, or we'd fly her out here to go to Comicon! Well, she choose. And Wednesday afternoon she landed in Seattle! Though I'm a little bummed I won't be there to see her in a mortar board cap and gown, the quality time we had here together was priceless. First thing Thursday Morning we took a walk in the woods, this little lady is such a tree hugger! She loves nature, and flowers, and everything to do with the out doors! It was a nice catch up time for us! Then, we got ready and put on our geek ware for our first day at Emerald City Comicon. We walked around all day, and she was i...
