Something New : Ten on Tuesday

I kind of failed (all ready) at posting 10 on Tuesday. There's a number of bloggers I follow that post 10 random thoughts on Tuesdays to keep themselves on the blogging track. (E.Cobb & Cina).
Since I've been struggling at making myself blog weekly, I've decided (after much thought) to devote myself to a 10 on Tuesday.
So, since yesterday was crazy busy you're getting 10 on Wednesday to start it out. But I hope to be better.
  1. My friend (& Co-worker) Mindy is 46% of the way to her Hope on the Slopes Goal! Click on the 46% above to go to her donation page if you feel like helping her out!
  2. Mom and I have been having quite a giggle over the "snow" that's been hitting Seattle considering they got 12 inches this weekend ontop of the 12 they allready had. SD has reached 56 or 58 inches all ready this winter
  3. I have been crafting like crazy. I've also been collecting buttons and old hair accessories to make into new and inventive things - Help me out if you can!
  4. We're getting close(r) to figuring out when we can go visit Eric's family - YAY!
  5. I forgot my lunch at home today - kind of bummed about that.
  6. Photography bug has been creeping into my brain here and there, I need to get out with my camera again. SOON.
  7. This weekend will be devoated to the wonderful James - He's in town from LA, we're not sure what the schedule is but I'm looking forward to it!
  8. Relay of Highline has our FIRST team meeting on Thursday! Yay for Relay Season!! Speaking of Donations, My page is HERE --> and I need to start fundraising too! I would love it if you could make a donation.
  9. I've been feeling really spring cleaning (ish) ... Scary.
  10. I think I can like this 10 on Tuesday thing, though I wonder if 10 on Thursday would be more successful... time will tell

Thanks for Reading everyone!~

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
