Ten on Tuesday

1- I'm nearing 700 posts on R for Ronnebeck - who knew I had so much to say over the past 3 years!

2- Tonight I'm going to try out my New Skates! I am super excited, because I get to try them out skating next to a real live Derby girl... yeah it's a big deal :).

3- I'm so sick of HAM! I ate ham Twice on Sunday, and then yesterday. I think I'll have a sabbatical for lunch today and then back at it tomorrow - leftovers don't go down without a fight.

4- I don't have much to say today - weird. I thought I'd be pouring out and pretty soon we'd be at Twenty on Tuesday... but not so much.

5- On Saturday we had our Bazaar - it was super slow... $60 was raised from our table for the American Cancer Society though - that's not terrible.

6- If you'd like to donate to the American Cancer Society / Relay for Life here's my Link! I'm only 36% of the way to my goal... I NEED HELP!!!

7- My Boss is back from Hawaii - I missed her... glad to have her back!

8- I have a lot on my "To do" List before the weekend... I should get on that!

9- I came home last night to clean laundry and a home cooked meal - have I mentioned lately how much I love my husband.

10- I came across this collage of Gracie the other day ...She's my pretty kitty!

I made minestrone soup with some of my left over ham. That way it's not like eating ham.

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
