Ten on Wednesday...

1| I totally spaced Ten on Tuesday yesterday, did anyone notice? I didn't right up until I read another bloggers ten, and then it hit me like a ton of bloggy bricks.

2| This week has me totally turned around - perhaps that's a good explanation for #1?

3| I am so happy today is Pseudo Thursday - One day off between now and Friday when I can wear Jeans and only work till Two. Sweet Life.

4| It's a little sick how excited I am to decorate for Christmas - normally I'm a good kid and I don't rush the holidays but I am looking forward to all the pretty.

5| Kathy, Erica and Shannon made Lefse this week at Kathy's - I miss Lefse making. I was invited to go to Kerri's and do it this year, but work got in the way - darn it any ways.

6| We had a little piece of perfect in our life yesterday as Gracie jumped up on the all ready too full couch with Eric, Aquaman and I , and then she Snuggled - you heard it here first folks- she SNUGGLED in to hang out with us for a good 20 minutes. This pet Momma was in a state of bliss.

7| Speaking of Christmas - as of last weekend I'm nearly half done shopping!

8| As of this weekend I'll be about 98% done, and NO I am NOT doing Black Friday.

9| I am abnormally grumpy lately - I'm sure it will pass.

10| I'm not looking forward to the Holidays without Mom. It's just not going to be super fun.

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

Thoughts of the American Pride Persuasion

I sat, mesmerized as I watched the “Breaking News” of the past 24 hours – Osama Bin Laden, Dead. What? I can’t really deny my mixed feelings about posting today. I don’t normally jump into the political rings but I can’t deny the HUGE news that swept our nation yesterday. So, this post has been thought out, a lot, typed really slowly, every word, intentional. Which is a huge leap from my normal ramblings of a Monday morning. We were sitting on the couch watching a movie, the movie ended and Eric turned on the news, and we watched, in awe. Just like September 11 th , I’ll always remember where I was when I heard the news. I can’t say I was ready to strap on a flag superhero cape style, and run up and down the street chanting “USA… USA… USA” like hundreds and thousands of other Americans in DC and New York, but then again, I wasn’t near ground zero, in Pennsylvania or at the pentagon the day that Osama Bin Laden became a household name. The American in me wants to be happy and
