Revisiting Leah...

Do you remember Leah?
I do, she was a young girl I met on the side walk and helped out one morning because she was stranded, cold and hungry. I gave her my lunch, coffee and a bus ticket hoping that I could make even a little difference in her life by pointing her in the right direction.

I was walking to work this morning, and when I turned the corner, there stood Leah. She was smiling and holding a cup of coffee. She gave me a hug and thanked me for helping her that chilly October morning and gave me a cup of coffee - she said that I was nice enough to give her my favorite cup of coffee, that she wanted to return the favor and handed me an Eggnog Latte.

I was very touched that she came back to Thank me. Often when you do what you feel is the right thing you never know the results, and weather or not you really helped. I do know that I made a difference, and that Leah is getting along well with her Mom. I told her about my Mom and how I would love nothing more than to fight and make up with her right now if I could. I told her to always take the high road and always try to make things right, because you never know... I walked away from her with a Huge smile on my face, what a wonderful gesture!

As I was walking I ran into the guy who runs our little goody shack in our building, and he was handing out sleeping bags to all the homeless people sleeping along the side of Nordstrom this morning, It was so heart warming to find someone doing something so simple, but I am sure it meant the world to those people.

Christmas spirit isn't just on the trees and in the stores - It's all over the city, and I hope, all over your city too!

what a great story, it's not every day that something warms your heart like that. I'm glad it happened to you :) you deserve it.
