Neah & Gracie

Mariya and her daughter Neah stopped by the house today to pick up their family pictures I shot a couple of weekends ago. Neah was in LOVE with Gracie, which is funny because Gracie loves nothing! Gracie was very good with her, and Neah would laugh such a cute little laugh each time Gracie got close. Thanks for visiting ladies :)

God is Good

God and I have been a little out of touch, well, mostly because I'm stubborn, but that's another story, but every night I say my simple prayers, God knows I'm coming around, but my simple prayers are always for my family, my friends and for this little girl. Hannah Mae. She has been on a roller coaster of life the past 118 days and long story short, she needs a heart transplant. Today, Jen (Hannah's Mom) got the phone call, and Hannah Mae is currently in the Operating Room receiving her new heart! Keep the prayers coming, as open heart surgery is no small task, and she is a fighter, but there is still plenty of risk involved. Please keep the prayers coming, that's what this family has been thriving on. It's been a long journey for them, but my prayer today is not only for healing, but for thanksgiving, and a means to an end of their stay at Children's Hospital. You can read Hannah's entire story here .

Getting Spooky Around These Parts!

Eric and I went out and about today, I got a few Halloween things! We got home and I had them sitting out on the couch, and Aquaman stole my pumpkins!  Check out my new headband! It's got a huge rhinestone spider on it! Obviously very work appropriate!

Where have I been?

I meant to blog on Monday, but didn't get around to it, instead blogged on my Halloween blog, which has relaunched! ( www.spooky-scary.blogspot.com ) I was going to plan to blog Tuesday night and at about 11:30 am at work WHAM my 24 hour Flu set in. Dis.Gus.Ting! So SICK! I'm happy to report I'm back on my feet. Drinking Gatorade and eating Rice. Mmm... Bland food. I'll be back soon, I promise!

Just Because...

When I got home Eric and Aquaman met me at the top of the stairs, and Eric handed me these with a kiss on the cheek and a "how was your day". I love my family!

Ten on Tuesday

1| I had my first family photo shoot this weekend - I really love the way they turned out, take a look... 2| It was a fast weekend - I was pretty busy, I hate weekends like that, but at the same time love every minute. I am looking forward to a weekend of nothingness - perhaps I'll get things cleaned up around the house! (don't count on it). 3| I am counting down the days till I get to meet my BFF Liz in Vegas! LIZ! VEGAS! 4| The way my whole photography thing is taking off is better than I could have hoped! I am still booking - give me a call! 5| Noelles baby shower was a lot of fun this weekend - I can't wait to meet the little pumpkin! 6| I just looked over my weekend schedule for October and I'm starting to wonder how the hell I'm going to get in all my horror movies since I have something going on like every weekend leading up to it! 7| Re-watching Undeclared makes me happy! 8| Monday night football is back in full force, so you'll be hearing...

Mr & Mrs. Harvey Kneeland - 1950

While at Grandma Myla & Grandpa Harvey's house we stumbled upon this album, having just found my other Grandparent's wedding photos - I had to have these in digital format too! Love each of them for many reasons... wasn't my Grandpa so Handsome!!?  This one is my absolute favorite - you can almost hear their laughter!  And so they lived... happily ever after (62 years and counting!)

SD - Last Day

The last day in SD we started with time at Grandma Nani's then Shannon, Erica and I drove up to Grandma and Grandpa Kneeland's house! We were invited for lunch, and excited to visit. Grandma made us Lasagne, and blue berry pie - and then we had cookies and coffee, and Bruce & Diane stopped over!  Bruce pointed out to me that my coffee cup had the Kneeland Coat of arms on it, so I took a picture of it, who knew! Grandma Myla is working on a family tree book for me - I'm super excited.  Mostly, we just visited - and looked through Grandma and Grandpa's wedding album - I'll share those pics this week!  My Grandpa Harvey turned 86 this year, pretty handsome dude, don't ya think?  He gets around in his wheel chair pretty well - and Grandma helps him out a whole lot.  My Uncle Bruce (and his killer smile) and Aunt Diane.  Grandma's best friend - her Sewing Machine :) I managed to talk her into repairing a quilt for me (and Aquaman) it's in the mail o...

Colleen Maxine (Ward) Nielsen

It just dawned on me that I never did blog about my Mom's funeral. For some reason maybe it was just too personal at the time - I'll have to get that up here. But here's my Grandma... 1948, She was beautiful!  We found a lot of old pictures and heard a lot of old stories while we prepared to lay her to rest. She was born January 18th 1930 to Charles & Florence Ward. She was one of fifteen kids, and married my Grandpa Adolph in 1949, she was 19 he was 26.  We worked with White, Comes & Sogn to prepare her funeral service, and they did a wonderful job. They have worked with our family all too much, and I hate that they know us by first name (well, most of us). She was buried next to my Grandpa in Mt Hope Cemetery. My Brother, Kris, Joe, Luke, Kevin & Nick were the pallbearers, and they did such a good job.  After the ceremony at the grave site, Tony, Julie, the boys, Shannon, Erica and I went to put flowers from Nani's spray on Mom's headstone. There...
