Ronnebeck Recap 2012

Ronnebeck Recap is mostly pictures this year (just how I like it)! I like to think sometimes that I am good with words, but this year, words have failed me, and my blog has been suffering. I think in the new year I'll be back, but we'll see how I feel. Sometimes I think that it's due time I retire my bloggy ways, and then I get a spurt of energy to post! I spend more time talking about blogging than I do actually blogging. Either way, thank you for sticking it out with me, and for checking in from time to time. I really do enjoy having a place to dump my thoughts and to keep track of my life year after year.

A few sad memories from this year, but a lot of great memories too! Thank you God for the many blessings we've enjoyed! So, sit back and reminisce with me, here is our year in review!

2012 was a busy year, I didn't find pictures - they're buried a little too deep, but I also got to hang out with my dear friend John Talcott quite a bit this year after going nearly 7 years without seeing him. I had season tickets to the Rat City Rollergirls, and cheered LOUD, and loved life, every day!

Thanks for taking my journey... I know there are things that were missed... but I'm so thankful for such a wonderful year!

Happy Christmas, Happy New year, and Happy life!

Merry Craftmas!!

When I was little Mom had one of these to put out every Christmas. I remember her tossing it out having fixed its hot glue after every warm summer in the shed, she wasn't particularly attached to it but I was. Having collected enough baby food jars (finally) I put it together this weekend! Looks just like I remember it and now it is sitting in my closet awaiting its debut next weekend!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
