Today is World Cancer day which UICC has declared to be the day that we work toward ending cancer related deaths! (or at least significantly decreasing them!)
I wish I could fight WITH my Mom instead of FOR my Mom, cancer took her from us at 53 years young. She celebrated her 52nd birthday with me, walking the track in Relay for Life, who would have known one year later, I'd be sitting at her bedside while she was in the end stages of her cancer, on hospice care.
Today, I'm the Co-Chair for Highline Relay for Life, trying to make a difference and never EVER giving up the fight for my Mom. Cancer took too much from my family, I don't want it to take anymore from anyone's Family!
Please Support me in my fight against Cancer, every dollar counts to a world without Cancer.
Our proceeds go to not only fund cancer research, but to fund programs to support Cancer survivors and their families while they are in the battle for their lives.
We were blessed to have these programs with Mom, it helped her have a wig, find her beauty amidst the baldness, and gave us all the information, love, compassion and support. I want to give back, and make sure that no family gets left in the dark when it comes to fighting cancer!
