The Calm before the Storm...

Next week shit is going to officially hit the fan. Mick Kelly's Fundraiser On Wednesday, Dad arrives Thursday, Tondi heads to Gene's Friday, weekend ensues, Dad flys out Tuesday/I collapse.

I am excited for the week to come!

A few photos from our past weekend...

Eric and I didn't spend much time together but we still had a nice weekend.

On Friday night I went to Happy hour with Dawn and then hit Mick Kelly's for some advertising fun! We sold some tickets but mostly got the word out!!

Saturday I started my morning with breakfast with Eric, then coffee with Brie, then Eric an I went down to Kent to meet up with Gene & Christina, Demi, Casey and Casey's friend Kennedy for lunch, and then we got home and I headed into the city with my boss, my coworker and we friend for dinner at the Bamboo Gardens and the Seattle Men's Choir at McCaw Hall!

By the time I got home Saturday I was Blissfully tired and happy!

Eric and I hung out at home on Sunday. A quick trip to the airport for Kat but other than that we were lazy!!

Oh weekends.... Why do you escape us so quickly!!!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
