The Moving Saga Continues...

Welcome to the ever changing life of the Ronnebecks!

We have officially signed our "Get the *%^# out of your house" documents with J.J. and we are t-minus 2 weeks till we are out!

October 6th is our "final" day, but we have a lot to do between now and then.

Today we spent our time cleaning out (and tossing / donating a bunch) our storage unit! We then moved over half of our packed boxes down to storage and now we are spending the rest of our week finishing up packing in hopes to move MOST of our stuff to an offsite storage space, which I ALSO reserved this weekend and saved $30 by booking it online (Score!).

Where are we going? Well, thanks for asking, it's rather complicated. Our Dear friends The Olesons have agreed to put us up through the end of the year, plus a couple months while they work on finding a new spot of their own in Edmonds (Bless their hearts). Then, once they move out, John and Kerri (our "to be" landlords) will re-do some flooring and then we can OFFICIALLY move in to our new place. We are trading in our view of the sound for two more bedrooms and another bathroom, oh and a whole lot more square footage!

It's going to be a bumpy couple of months, and quite an adventure, but it's one we're ready for!

Bring it on Life - we got this!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
