10 on Tuesday the 1 Weekend... 2 Dresses Edition!

Hello everyone! 10 on Tuesday here, the 1 weekend, 2 dresses post - Please excuse the vanity in the photos.

1| I bought the dress to the left here this weekend. It's a deep purple with an awesome silhouette. I fell in love almost immediately, I have no where to wear it too (yet) but, I couldn't pass it up for 50% off. I paid a whopping $3 for this bad boy at Goodwill. Probably my best find to date!

2 | This weekend was my "Get your wild oats sewed" weekend. I don't think I got everything done I wanted but I did get *most* of it done.

3 | Series 7 studying officially began yesterday (and no, that's not an April fools!)

4| The Dress pictured to the right (to the pink) below is my bridesmaid dress for the Blanchette Wedding in May, I'm super excited! I picked it up on Sunday and have only modeled it twice!

5| We're doggy sitting for Seven this week. What a change it is to have another dog around, but he's been really good, quiet, and makes himself at home!

6| This weekend we have next to nothing on the books! But to be honest most weekends from here on out we don't have much booked - See #3 - Social calendar CLEAR!

7| I finally got all of our photos from our vacation uploaded to Shutterfly... now for the scrapbooking!

8| Scrapbooking has been a little way layed - Eric's computer died - now we're sharing, which doesn't work super well. Thanks to Brett for getting our stuff off the hard drive!

9| I'm seriously loving housework recently. I know that sounds next to insane, but it's fun living in a HOUSE!

10 | Eric has some employment with Uncle Gene going on this week, and we are experiencing some growing pains as I adjust to having to cook and clean up after myself. Ugh. Come back househusband! You're missed!

11 | The *BONUS* item... Notice something missing in the photos above? How about 8 inches of my hair! Went in to Supercuts Thursday and asked for a "trim, just below the shoulders" *Gulp* that worked out. But I like it!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
