There are few things more satisfying in life than a ball game on a hot summer day.
The sun, the hats, the beer, the hot dogs, the click of the bat hitting the ball, the roar of the crowd and the idiotic dancing.
Oh Mariners Baseball... I missed you the past couple summers. We've been to the ballpark twice this summer which was more then the past few years combined. Not sure what made us quit going as frequently, but one could surmise it would be a terrible diet of Nachos, a better view from of the replays from home and the $10 cups of beer.
But even if we hadn't graced Safeco with our presence in quite some time, nothing will compare to an experience of taking my wonderful family with us! I have so much fun showing them "my" city. Knowing the ropes has never felt so good. I even learned a few new things about Safeco - Like, did you know that they have a place that serves Vegan Chili Cheese dogs? Right... me either!
Thanks to Nicole (above) I will have PLENTY of pictures to share later... but here are just a few from our beautiful night at the ballpark!
Also, have you ever tried to explain baseball to a couple Greek residents? Because it is difficult to put all the rules and idiosyncrasies of Baseball into words that someone who has NEVER seen it could understand. It takes lots of practice and watching to fully understand this game, and I'm not even sure sometimes that I FULLY understand it - and I've been watching it my whole life!
Oh Baseball. You are my Muse!
