LOOK! All three kids... ONE Photo!!! Life is good

Around the house...

Luna is fitting in just fine, she's got her kitty energy which is about 100x's what any of the rest of us. Her and Gracie are getting along better... but Gracie is still pretty cautious of trusting her. I love that having her around makes me pick up my camera more often... because then I get shots like this of my other kids... those big eyes... swoon! This weekend has been just what the doctor ordered! We had our friend Dawn over on Friday, Eric's friend Reiner came over Saturday, and Today was spent running errands and hanging out at the house. Tomorrow Eric has a Fantasy Football draft which means The kids and I will have to fend for ourselves. The next few weeks will be hectic - so the downtime is much needed for the anticipated crazy. Soaking in family time has been great - Aquaman and Luna spend most of their time chasing eachother around... it's kind of fun. I've been doing a whole lot of crafting... yesterday I made thi...

Off the Grid... ON the Blog

I'm making a big leap in my world today. I am working toward deleting my Facebook! This has been a long time come... I've given it up every year for Lent for the past few years, but I have always picked the habit back up, and really after 40 days really didn't miss it much. For now, I've only deleted a large portion of my photos, and am working on not logging into it. The past couple weeks have proved to me just how powerful Social Media is. With the ALS Ice Bucket challenge spreading like wild fire, I am finding myself more drawn to disconnecting. Don't get me wrong, Social Media is a beautiful thing, and it's done a great job raising awareness and money for ALS, it's just made me realize how interconnected we all are. I do Blogging, and I am on Instagram, but Facebook just feels a bit too intrusive. I don't feel like I miss out on anything when I log in there. I know MORE about friends I knew from High School NOW than when I saw them every da...

Adjusting.

Life with a kitty has been a bit different...  I think everyone is starting to adjust. Myself included. She's rambunctious, curious, and those needle like claws and teeth! Her interactions with Gracie are getting better... though some end in hisses or annoyed growls, I no longer fret that they will interact. I know they will, Gracie will show Luna her boundaries, and eventually run away and hide if things get too much for her. But this is what most of their meetings look like. Luna spots her, moves in, pounces on her tail, Gracie turns around, hisses or just gives her the evil eye and runs away. Today they spent 10 whole minutes under those chairs... 5 of which was spent with Gracie growling... but who's counting? My hope for a picture of all 3 is getting closer to being accomplished - yesterday I nearly had it, but then Luna pounced on Gracie's tail, and it was all over. This is the best I've gotten so far. The Kennel is at the bottom...

Little Luna

Luna is a good little kitty, the tension is starting to diffuse and everything is starting to shift to a new normal.  She got her first bath and first visitors yesterday! Thanks Jordy & Dorsey for stopping by!  She's such a little love!
