10 Takes!

1 | Apparantly I am now reporting in snippets on this blog, but that's okay because it feels kind of like life is in small takes right now!

2 | I got to hang out with Kat yesterday in Wallingford and we had a good old fashioned gallivant! I miss her.

3 | Our landlord John dropped by and replaced our shed door on Saturday, get this... It locks now!

4 | I am doing everything in my power to keep from spewing Halloween EVERYWHERE!

5 | The kids are finally at a point where I am not too worried about them killing each other... And they bless me with moments like this...

6 | My IT VP at work signed me up to go to a conference in January... I am SO excited! I get to go learn more about a program we are exploring and I am super excited!  Also, did I mention it's in Anaheim? (Next to DISNEYLAND) I am crossing my fingers that I will get to spend some time playing!

7 | Tim came over for football yesterday, the game was close and our place for LOUD! I happened to look at the Seahawks schedule today and realized they are playing the 49ers on Thanksgiving Day... Lucky me!

8 | Latelty I have been noticing how much heavier Aquaman is, but I figured that since we just got Luna my judgement of weight was off since she is SO small. We got his haircut and my little guy has gotten SO beefy in the past few months! It's not just my perception, he really has bulked up!

9 | #8 is contributed to the fact that Eric has been walking 4 miles a day! Aquaman keeps pace with him! They are both looking fit!

10 | Happy First Official day of Fall! Hope it was a good one!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
