Life from the iPhone

I'm actually on the brink (Late November) of getting a NEW iPhone, which will hopefully make these posts go faster... uploading pictures from your phone is kind of a pain, unless you are on 4G or have a Mac... Ugh... Technology sometimes!

Anyways, the conference is over and life is falling back into "normal". Eric and I went for a 4 mile walk this morning, and it felt good - kind of like someone hit my "reset" button. Eric's now out running errands, and I'm at home, by myself, for the first time in months, the kids are chasing eachother in circles and the TV is off... I thought it would be a good time to dump out my iPhone and show you what we've been up to the past couple weeks..

Last week was spent at work tying up lots of loose ends for the conference, I was on a field trip here to get a few things laminated... Busy busy ... but hardly ever too busy for a "selfie".

I basically put my Series 7 studying on hold for the past couple weeks, I just had too much going through my mind for work to be able to focus on much when I got home. So I spent a couple nights just doing this...

Luna, has earned her place in this house. Eric and I think she'll be running the place shortly, she throws her weight around with Aquaman AND Gracie, and neither of them put her in her place. Her and Aquaman do spend a fair amount of time playing together though

Luna's new favorite place to play is the bath tub. She has only falledn in and gotten wet once... but she keeps going back for more.

She also really likes to watch ME take a bath... fun to have company!

Luna had her first Vet visit last week, she has a clean bill of health and is on track to get fixed soon. They gave her two vaccines and that totally knocked her out, she slept for like 9 hours with short spurts of being awake! I took her over to PetSmart and we did some retail therapy to calm her nerves of the vet !

Here she is laying around in the sun... her favorite thing just like every other cat!

This was after the vet :)

So, meanwhile back at work... our Space Needle representative stopped by to give us a few "Thank you" gifts, and brought us these space spots to show us a few cool things the Space Needle App does.  We had our reception event at the Space Needle!

To prep for the conference, Georgia and Dawn took me out to get my hair cut!

And our Toes and nails done... it was a great day of girly prep, and I loved it! Love those girls!

Here we are after lunch at the spaghetti factory !

See? Told you they were getting along :)!

The Conference Starts on Thursday, we have 2-3 classes and then a dinner/reception. The Reception this year was at the Space Needle (as mentioned above) and I found this killer dress at Value Village for $5!

The event goes into Friday where we have a large sit down luncheon. We sat 260 people (ish). The  Reception was up to 320! It was so SO much fun! But, I'm pooped and I'm glad to have a weekend to relax and reboot before work starts Monday!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
