Catch up

Blogging has been really far from my mind lately. I'm excited to catch up though, It's been awhile, but I am happy to report all is well here in Des Moines.   Eric and I have been spending our weekends quiet and content in our home. Both of us have done a lot of work in our craft/nerd rooms. I guess we both have a bit of the spring cleaning fever. That's not necessarily a bad thing I don't think. Kerri and John have been over working on our laundry room which had a roof leak. The entire thing is being gutted and we'll be getting new flooring, sheet rock and pantry storage. I'll be sure to share pictures when we get it all put together. The "Kids" have been good - Luna and Aquaman love to snuggle in the sunbeams and Gracie is hanging out by herself upstairs on Eric's couch - nothing new there.   Last weekend I met up with a friend from my online health & fitness group. Her name is Des, and we got a little los

Ah! She's 17!!

March is a birthday heavy month around here! Happy Birthday to my sweet Niece Erica who turns 17 today! (OMG!) Hope you have a great day lady - one that is as beautiful as you are!

Grandmas 85th!!

This woman of God has taught me so much in my life. Happy Birthday to my Grandma Myla who taught me so much about life, knitting, quilting and God. Thank you Grandma! Here's to many more wonderful years!!

Happy 40th Birthday Big Sissy!

How does one even begin to describe what it's like to have a Sister like Shannon? She is one of the most caring, selfless, and trustworthy women in my life. I love her. She's my best friend, we've been through good and bad, and being together makes us act like we're 17 again... just ask Erica, we embarrass her all the time! It makes me tear up a little, actually. Thank you Shannon - for all the joy and smiles, what I wouldn't give to be exploring Ruby beach with you today. I am so blessed to call you my sister! You taught me all the good things in life, like Aquanet Hairspray, how to rat one's bangs, and how to be a good strong woman who holds her family together when it feels like it's falling apart... You are such an inspiring lady.  I will love you always!
