Pumpkin Patch 2015

It's a bit of a Kneeland Family tradition now to go to the Carpinito Brother's Pumpkin patch every year! This is our 4th year, and we started the first year that Gene moved out here! Demi & Lucas have grown so much, and this year really made me smile because they were both so expressive in their excitement to pick out a pumpkin! So, without further ado - here are the photos from this year!

She said ... this is my "Pumpkin Face"

Some of these shots of Lucas I couldn't pick between... so I'm posting both. These ones I just love his little foot up on the pumpkin - and his scrunchy nose and below, his smile :)
They had some seriously LARGE Pumpkins this year!

She insisted on posing for me... I didn't mind... it made me giggle

 Our resident Wheelbarrow expert!
This was her "what's wrong with this pumpkin" pose.
We had better luck getting pictures with each kid than all 4 together...

Eric took my camera to prove that I was there!
Rides in the Wheelbarrow were exciting this year!

I'm not sure that I even know... but this was the best of the several we tried to take ... LOL!
Cousin Eric won big points with this one :)

Picking out the pumpkins was hard this year - so many to choose from, and so many HUGE pumpkins!

 This guy... ♥

Smooches from Cousin Abby!

Kettle Corn was a big hit (always is!)
In the end, Eric and I bought 1 big pumpkin and two little sugar pumpkins. Our Landlords John and Kerri brought us a pumpkin the other day, so we really only needed one!

It was a great day - wrapped up by lunch at Duke's Chowder house... which is also tradition!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
