The Dog Days are Over....

These pictures make me think of THIS song...
Florence and the Machine makes me happy - they're crazy cool.

I digress... on to the doggy part...

Kat gave me a call and asked if Aquaman, Eric and I wanted to go to the Doggy park with her, Cosmo and Seven. We were kind of aching to get outside because it was actually pretty nice outside.
Here's Seven, we're going to call this BM (Before Mud)...
How do you even stop a dog from getting into mud when they're having THIS much fun!!!
Speaking of Mud - Cosmo dines on his favorite snack... fresh Mud. He's such a funny puppy!
Again with the Mud... these two had us giggling the whole walk down to the doggy park.

Kat does such a great job wrangling them!
This picture of Seven totally cracks me up... I love how his tongue is hanging out!
This little one actually did pretty well at the dog park. His normal disposition is to bark and growl at every dog that passes by... you know because he's "tough". But we got him going on the obstacle course and he seemed to enjoy himself quite a bit.
Cosmo isn't quite as cooperative as Seven and Aquaman are when it comes to picture taking - that's why you see a little fewer of him than the other two.
Aquaman was just happy to be outside with his people, and two dogs he doesn't mind hanging around.
My Happy Boy.
Cosmo is always very curious of Aquaman and as you can see Aquaman is about to wuss out and hide behind Eric's legs.
So we hit the obstacles again ... up the ramp!
King of the mountian!
And down....
Here's a nother happy boy... he was THRILLED to be playing!
Cosmo getting some love from Kat!
The three boys enjoying their time outside!
Seven checking out the tires.
Seven had to take one more roll in the mud.
Aquaman was done... and ready to go home - he's been passed out in his doggy bed ever since.
He even made a few friends... just his size!
It wasn't a Dog day... it was a Doggy Day!
Full of MUD - and fun!
Thanks for inviting us Kat!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

8 Years Ago Today...

8 Years ago today... I was in the Kent/Des Moines Park and Ride puking in the bushes because I was SO Nervous about my first day at KMS. I didn't know If I could hack it in the big city. I didn't know a thing about being a Receptionist, and I didn't even know what a Broker/Dealer was, but I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to take it head on. I've learned SO MUCH - an Immeasurable amount of life and work lessons from my 8 years at KMS, and I could muse all day long about the Farm Fresh 22 year old you see to the left and how naive she was. KMS has given me a gift of balancing a work life and a home life and still being able to give my 110% when I'm at work without losing my balance. When I walked in the door this morning, my co-workers had created this celebration from me, and after they arrived, it got bigger with gifts, and notes, and cards, and decorations. They wanted to celebrate me, and my achievements here, though If they would have kn...
