The Great Pumpkin Carve of 2012

Normally this post is like 5-8 days ago, but I've been so crazy busy with work, Relay for life and "Other" in my life that we just got around to carving our pumpkins last night. It's pretty sad that they'll only be shining bright on our porch for three days, but better three than zero. I am glad that my pumpkins won't have time to turn into mush though, that's my least favorite part. I can't ever imagine not buying real pumpkins the whole "Funkin" phase terrifies me. My Mom had one, but it was after we all moved out and she didn't want to carve pumpkins by herself! Still, probably never going to buy one. That being said... here's the shots from our night, we had 4 pumpkins! We always do one for ourselves, and then one for each of our furry kids. Our puppy Aquaman LOVES carving pumpkins! He loves to lick them!  He makes me laugh, he seriously cannot get enough of it.

Relay Summit 2012

This weekend was the Relay for Life Summit at the Double Tree hotel in SeaTac. We're so very lucky to have this opportunity right in our back yard, that's not to say I wouldn't travel for it, I probably would, but I love that it's literally down the street from my house! We showed up on Friday in our very BRIGHT Tie Dye shirts, Everyone loved them, and it was really easy to pick each other out of the crowd. I love these ladies - they're my better purple half. There was a lot of really great information at Summit, but this was my favorite part - during lunch they had us make luminarias for our loved ones, then gave us each a different colored glow stick to put in our bag, then had everyone lift them up over their heads... what a cool thing! Based on Facebook photos, it was a lot of people's favorite part! Told you I was taking you with me to Summit Momma :) There was a lot of fun, learning, frolic and PURPLE! We had a blast.

Aquaman in the Leaves

I took my little man out to the park today to see all the pretty colors! I am happy to post these photos, they turned out pretty cute, and they include a few of my favorite things... fall, Aquaman, Halloween costumes and time in the park!
