Seven on Sunday

1| We watched Crazy Stupid Love this weekend - It was super cute! And Ryan Gossling is a total dish!

2| I rarely cook dinner, so Eric was excited when I told him I was going to take on the challenge of goulash this evening. Upon turning on the stove top, and getting the meat cooking - the back burner made a loud popping noise and a spark flew up from it - and then the stove (and oven) quit working. Awesome. We have a call into our landlords, and hopefully by the end of next week we can quit eating out because our stove will be working again - or we'll have a new one.

3| It's not secret that Gracie is a mean cat. She has been warming up here and there - tonight she sat on the couch right next to me. The whole family was on the couch at once - I was happy... and then I took a few pictures of the auspicious occasion, and she ran for the hills. That type of love is NOT to be documented.

4| My knee has been really bothering me lately. I am suspecting that my GP doctor didn't diagnose as well as he could have, and that I possibly hurt it worse than I thought I did. So Ice, and Elevation have been my friend, and I'll be seeing a Sports Medicine Doctor soon, well, as soon as I can get in.

5| Eric and I went for coffee and a scone at Blue Vanilla this morning, it's becoming my favorite Saturday ritual.

6| Friday night we went over to Kerri & John's for supper with them, Tim & Kat and Nate & Amanda, It was so much fun to visit and hang out  with them! Thanks for a great night guys!

7| Relay for Life Kick Off is in just a few hours (2-4) Come bowl for free at Hiline lanes! Yay!

The Wreath

It all started with Pinterest - yes, that rant about Pinterest still stands, but this was inspired from there. I wanted to recreate a wreath of bulbs, I hate buying wreaths since they expire year after year, this one will hang in my home for a LONG time, possibly till I die... that is how much I love how it turned out! So, being my crafty (and somewhat frugal) self, I set off to find the materials to make it. Finding that bulbs are not quite as cheap as you'd expect, I found them for 80% off.  This wreath, at cost would have run me about $125. ACK! I made it for under 35%! So pretty! So pleased! Many have asked me to make one for them - my answer - you buy the bulbs and materials and I'll glue it together!

My Happy Place

I have a lot of happy space in my world - but the happiest of all is Marvista Park in Normandy Park, just a few short miles from my house. It's the one place where I can go, be a kid, and then feel completely refreshed afterwards. Vacation is coming... T minus a few weeks now, and I feel like I've earned the crap out of it this year! But until then, a weekly trip to my happy place with the furry one should do it!  I love his little feet trying to take on the leaves! So cute.

Merry Craftmas!!

When I was little Mom had one of these to put out every Christmas. I remember her tossing it out having fixed its hot glue after every warm summer in the shed, she wasn't particularly attached to it but I was. Having collected enough baby food jars (finally) I put it together this weekend! Looks just like I remember it and now it is sitting in my closet awaiting its debut next weekend!
