The Little Things

John came to visit!!!  So, This week month has been a little rough on me. June. I think every year will probably be the same, but each year I anticipate nothing, and get smacked with a whole lot of depression, anxiety and tears. June is the month that holds one of my favorite celebrations (our anniversary) and my least favorite memories (losing Mom). It's nearly over, Friday is the 3rd anniversary of her passing, I anticipate tears, and sadness, but I also am trying to anticipate smiles, and good memories. I've been trying to appreciate the little and good things in life... and here are a few memories from my iPhone to make it through... Thanks for your support. Domestic

Every once in a while I do that domestic thing. I'm crafty, don't get me wrong, but Crafty is NOT the same thing as being Domestic. Our window in our kitchen bothered us because it had no cover, and you can see straight through the house when the lights are on and it's dark out. So, we had to fix it.  I shopped for fabric but didn't see anything I loved, and then Eric said "I wish we could just use fabric like you had for your wedding dress." And, well since I'm a bit of a fabric hoarder, I happened to have a couple panels left from my wedding dress. So, for a week or so we hung a small panel on the window above our sink, you know, to see if we liked it.  We decided we really liked it, it blocks the light when needed, but still has a nice look to it.  In short, I just sewed the sides, so it's not like I did any sort of a major overhaul of a job, but I think it looks nice, and I was pretty proud of myself for
