Every once in a while I do that domestic thing. I'm crafty, don't get me wrong, but Crafty is NOT the same thing as being Domestic. Our window in our kitchen bothered us because it had no cover, and you can see straight through the house when the lights are on and it's dark out. So, we had to fix it.
I shopped for fabric but didn't see anything I loved, and then Eric said "I wish we could just use fabric like you had for your wedding dress." And, well since I'm a bit of a fabric hoarder, I happened to have a couple panels left from my wedding dress. So, for a week or so we hung a small panel on the window above our sink, you know, to see if we liked it.
We decided we really liked it, it blocks the light when needed, but still has a nice look to it.
In short, I just sewed the sides, so it's not like I did any sort of a major overhaul of a job, but I think it looks nice, and I was pretty proud of myself for dragging out the ole sewing machine & iron!
