February in 28 Photos

I really appreciate the Photo 365 app. Sometimes it's fun to challenge yourself to take a photo a day for a month!

Bald is Beautiful

These beautiful ladies in my life were both diagnosed with Breast cancer the week of Thanksgiving 2012. Both are in Chemo and lost their hair just a week apart from each other! You are both such awesome and strong women and we are behind you in this fight! Watch out cancer... You picked the wrong bitches this time!!!

Checking in on my Resolutions - The year of MORE

I am about 45% happy with the way my goals are going this year. I would be closer, but really, I keep running out of time, I'm thinking that I was maybe a little over zealous to take these all on in one year! 1| I am going to LOSE MORE WEIGHT - I am currently down 19 pounds and 4" off my waistline!!! I have a long way to go on this front but I would say that it's going well! 2| I am going to BLOG MORE - I have been trying for once a week on each blog and I have been pretty good so far! 3| I am going to SKATE MORE - I think I get a fail for this one, when I am not doing Relay I am studying for my S7 I really need to figure out how to do this more! 4| I am going to TAKE MORE PICTURES - fail! Unless you count my iPhone shots which is about daily, I will post my month compilation of them later on! 5| I'm going to DO MORE around the house - I have been somewhat rocking this! I actually have been keeping things under control! 6| I'm going to MOVE MORE - ummm, yeah

Haircut Time!!

Both of my boys got a haircut this week!!! Aren't they handsome??

That's how WE Roll!

I Love my Relay for Life committee. They are the cheese to my macaroni, the laces to my tennis shoes. You get the picture. They rock.  Each and every time we come up with an idea to fight cancer - someone picks up the ball and is half way down the fundraising court with it before I can even blink!  They're a committee chair's dream! Like the time when our Advocacy / Mission delivery chair decided she needed to resign for personal reasons (which we totally understand) and I picked up the ball, and asked who else would be willing to - when Noelle jumps in and makes these things so our Mission is known during our events!  LOVE LOVE LOVE MY COMMITTEE!!!!! We're on a mission to cure cancer people...  One $ at a time! If you want to support our mission... Click HERE

I Mustache you a Question

Today I got a package in the mail for my birthday from one of my BFF's ... Liz!!! Inside was a package of mustache's and a Beautiful pink scarf! I immediatley coordinated my outfit to wear my new pink scarf! I did good... no? Then, we met up with Tim and Katherine and we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for Anti-Valentines day.  The fun really broke loose on thew ay home when Kat decided to go to DQ... (great decision) and we rocked the mustaches! I don't think the lady at the drive through even flinched... but it was fun anyways! For whatever reason the minute I put on a fake mustache the only face I can make is this one... Because this one just doesn't look that impressive. I love this guy - he will rock a mustache with me! Seriously, I have the best friends :) Serious... And then... It took some coaxing, but I got a Mustache pic of Aquaman too! I love that dog!

Ten on Tuesday

1| For those of you who care, I have been fairing 29 just fine. I swear a few more grey hairs have popped in, but I have a good outlook - My Grandma Myla happens to be one fine looking silver haired lady... Bring it on! Plus, Eric already promised me he'd love me with grey hair, so now I REALLY don't have much to fear. 2| Headed BACK to the eye doctor on Thursday. I didn't really blog about it, but I went two weeks ago, and didn't love what the Doc had to say. She gave me a few trial pairs of contacts, but basically boiled it down to "Quit wearing those things so darn much". So, here I am all clad in my glasses, trying to be an obedient eye patient. I will let you know more about the appointment after Thursday. 3| My puppy isn't so much a puppy anymore. I see all my friends talk about their kids "Growing up" but I can start to see some old man traits in my Aquaman and it makes me sad. He's still a ball of energy though, no worries about t

My Derby Friends!

I totally forgot to post these pictures and so, I guess I will now that they are nearly a month late! Eric and I along with about 10 of my co-workers went up to Everett for opening night for the Jet City Rollergirls! My BFFF Megan is on the CarnEVIL team so naturally I decked myself out in purple and black from head to toe! Sandra is a Pink Pistol an when I was dabbling in Roller Derby she was the first Rollergirl I met and she has been such a mentor for me! I am so happy to see her happy with her new league! Riley is with Megan in the last photo and she was part of our "lets get into roller derby" group that skates with BSL on the weekends! She had to drop it because of time commitments but she is one stealth lady on her skates! Love these girls! Many more open skates in our future I hope!

My 29th Birthday!

My birthday lasted two days! Friday my Co-workers and friends spoiled me, and then Saturday Eric Spoiled me. I can't complain, inching closer to 30 seems surreal, but with friends and family like this by your side, it makes it less scary for sure! Friday started out with Coconut Macaroons made by Mindy. I would argue these are some of THE BEST Coconut Macaroons that I've ever had. They are delicious and I had like 6 of them for breakfast!  I got an array of nice cards, and a few gifts from everyone. It feels good to be loved.  The co-workers took me to lunch at Farestart, and then when we got back, these were sitting on my desk waiting for me, from my wonderful Husband!  Then, when I got home - THESE were waiting for me, from my BFF Liz!  So, I sent her that picture :) That night, we went to have Indian food at my favorite restaurant with Tim and Kat, and a quick stroll / play through Toys R' Us, and then a few episodes of Modern Family together.

Pillow People

On my 29th birthday eve eve I am posting about a stuffed friend. No judgement, this thing has been my buddy when I was feeling down forever. Often when I needed to cry I would grab pillow people and hop in my toy box which was in my closet and close the door and SOB. Things aren't much different at 28. Except I opt for my bed probably because I don't have a toy box anymore. Yesterday was just one of those days I came home grabbed my pillow people and cried. I feel better now I am just posting about this so I can remind myself that bad days happen and they really aren't that bad, I am still really blessed in life.

World Cancer Day

Today is World Cancer day which UICC has declared to be the day that we work toward ending cancer related deaths! (or at least significantly decreasing them!) I wish I could fight WITH my Mom instead of FOR my Mom, cancer took her from us at 53 years young. She celebrated her 52nd birthday with me, walking the track in Relay for Life, who would have known one year later, I'd be sitting at her bedside while she was in the end stages of her cancer, on hospice care. Today, I'm the Co-Chair for Highline Relay for Life, trying to make a difference and never EVER giving up the fight for my Mom. Cancer took too much from my family, I don't want it to take anymore from anyone's Family!  Please Support me in my fight against Cancer, every dollar counts to a world without Cancer.  Our proceeds go to not only fund cancer research, but to fund programs to support Cancer survivors and their families while they are in the battle for their lives.  We were blessed

My Sissy

I do love my sister so... sometimes we're so alike it's terrifying.  A couple weeks ago, she texted me the photo (above) of her trying to keep her nose warm because it was chilly in her house. I laughed, and texted her the photo of me (below) because when I received the text, I was doing the SAME THING! I ♥ U Sissy!

The Kneelands

I had to steal these from Julie's Facebook to share them - because they're just so darn cute! They had their family photos for the Church Pictorial Book! My boys are getting SO big! I can't hardly believe it!
