2,000 Points

My little cousin Alex is a pretty stellar basketball player - she reached her 2,000th Career point at a game against Vulga today. What an awesome achievement as a Senior in high school! Way to kick some butt girl! I am super proud of you! I'm pretty sure I didn't even hit 20 in my career (I was one terrible basketball player).

Birthday Celebration!!!

I took off at Noon today to spend the afternoon with Eric for his birthday! What a treat! I couldn't imagine a better way to spend my day! We started out by eating a lunch at the Steelhead Diner . I could RAVE about this food... but I took pictures so I didn't have to try to describe what a Caviar Pie (above) is, or how delicious their Poutine was! I will go back there ... over... and over... and over... I loved it! We then took a nice stroll around the Market. We browsed in just about every shop we passed that we found interest in. It was pretty much a ghost town around there on a Tuesday afternoon - or maybe it's because the market is under construction and the tourists know it! Even the famous fish throwing crew was under construction which was nice because I was able to see my Father-in-Law that way (more on that later). We bought little things here, and there, and treated ourselves... a lot. Eric treated himself with his favorite food in the market - DeLaurent i! He&#

Happy Birthday Eric!

This guy turns 34 today... I can't tell you how happy I am to celebrate it with him! I will be leaving work at Noon today and we're going to play - all over Seattle I might add! What a blessing he is in my life... I smile every time I think of him, and can't wait to get home at the end of the day to see him. He is my perfect partner in life, and friend. Eric, I hope you have the most wonderful day today - I wish the sun would peak out just a little bit to greet you, but even in the misty rain we will celebrate! I love you my heart :)

Mass Effect 2 = Mass Fail By Wife

I was so excited when I decided on Eric's birthday gift. He likes video games, and I decided that I was going to sneak over to Burien with Mariya on Saturday and pick up his birthday gift so I could have it all nice and wrapped for Tuesday. I succeed and made my way home with the game and wrapped it up all nice and pretty ... er... handsomely. When I got home today I asked Eric how his day went and he said he got a chance to play a little Mass Effect 2. My heart sank to the floor. I was hearing him out, thinking maybe he had only tried a demo. Nope, I totally lost track and had bought it for him for Christmas. Who does that? So, I broke the news to him that I bought him Mass Effect 2 for his birthday also. I'm so glad I kept the receipt. When did I become so air-headed!???

Coming out of my Shell

After being in South Dakota for a whole week, I got home and crawled into my Abby shell and didn't peak out ... at all, oh I guess except for work. I would come home from work, and crawl into my [beloved] tye-dyed snuggie, and sit on the couch, and vegg. When the weekend came (last weekend) there was lots of talk about football around my house, and I secluded myself to my bedroom / scrapbooking table and didn't come out to see the light of day. I am back to normal now. I got my "Me" time in that was so needed after a wonderful trip to my family. I never knew how much "Me" time I get in a day till I get zero, and no matter how much I love the people I'm around, my body still craves that quiet and still; that time to just be. This weekend I'm back amongst the living! I am so excited to see my friends this weekend and spend some time with Aquaman & Eric. Ivan and Dawn will be coming over tonight, Mariya on Saturday and Katherine on Sunday. Lord, tha

Slice of Life : The It's been awhile edition...

Outside my Window: Clouds. There’s been a lot of cloud cover recently and I don’t hate it. I hate not knowing how to dress for the “Great outdoors” every morning, as it’s too dark at 5:00am to figure it out by simply “looking out the window” I am so looking forward to daylight savings time. I'm thinking: Tonight’s going to be a lazy day. Eric and I had a busy day running around enjoying our town yesterday and a little downtime in the evening. I like downtime! I'm Thankful For: Being home. I love visiting my family and I love traveling, but there’s something about the routine of being home that makes me very happy and complete. From the Kitchen: Chef Eric has prepared a multitude of tasty treats, but today is birthday food day at work which means PIZZA and Cake! I am wearing: My [new favorite] purple shirt, and my grey slacks (ugh I just said the word slacks) Black socks, pearl necklace and black heels. I’m in “Business Abby” apparel today I guess. I'm going: to see two very

I ♥ Halloween...

I don’t quite have my jack-o-lantern hanging out on my porch… but…

South Dakota Musings

I can’t quite put together blog posts about South Dakota, every attempt leaves me feeling like my material is dry, and boring, but it was so enriching and wonderful for me, I just think maybe a blow by blow of my days there is probably not as exciting for you as it was for me. I think musings is the best way to put it, as usual in my world – so here it is musings of South Dakota… and the wonderful trip it was! -how refreshing it was to finally get off the plane in Watertown to my family; it had been such a long journey. I walked through the Airport doors and the place erupted into cheers to see me, talk about make a girl feel loved. Oh how I missed my family! -Mom looks good. She really, really looks good. She’s gained some weight, and her hair has all grown in. she was a sight for sore eyes. -Mom & I went and got our portraits done at ML Portraits, Inc downtown Watertown. Missy did a really fantastic job… REALLY Fantastic!!!! We are very pleased with our pictures, and I can’t wait
