TRICK - OR - TREAT

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope that this blog finds you well and full of candy and spooky memories from tonight! Eric and I went over to John and Kerri's house for a wonderful soiree! Eric was dressed up like an old timey baseball player named Candy Cummings (Inventor of the curve ball). I went for the "starlet" look and wore an old bridesmaid dress from a friend's wedding. Kerri and Amanda did an amazing job at making tasty treats and all of them were delicious! I hope that Halloween was everything you wanted it to be and more! I know that I'm allready excited for next year! Happy Haunting Good night :) Eric and I in our costumes before we left for the party! Kerri, Myself and Kat... Kerri is "Marie Antionette" and Kat is sporting her Squirell costume which is jumpking out of a pile of leaves. I have very creative friends!

Phillies are the World Champions

Eric and I would like to think that our visit to Philadelphia this year contributed to their win... well maybe not, but I'm WAY EXCITED that Chase Utley Has a World Series title!!! That is all Abby

Ragin cRAVIN"

Remember yesterday how I was wondering if GOD was going to open the clouds and speak to me with what to do for cRAVE (Whispering ) i think he heard me :). As I sat in the fellowship hall I had a few ideas here and there about what I wanted to put up for grabs for the evening. Pastor Ryan had the message covered so all I had to do was come up with a Drama or a Testamony in oh about an hour and a half. What I decided to do was set up a "Sacred Space" or an Alter if you will, where people can come and place things in the space they would like to pray about or give up to GOD for an hour. I gave a little talk about the Space and how we used the Space in my college courses and then added to the space (which allready had a picture of Laughing Jesus from the invocation) an apple because the sermon was about Evil. The Apple to me represents when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of Knowledge. I then put down my cell phone on the table and said I wanted to offer that to GOD to give him an

Gas Hog

I normally wouldn't blog to bitch about random happenings in my life. I do however feel a bit stressed and feel that this will help ease my mind. So if you don't want to keep reading... I understand. It's Theraputic to just type and listen to the keys so here it goes with the story of last night and why indeed I am as sleepy as I am today. Last night Eric and I were on the couch watching Heroes when we hear our neighbor's car alarm going off. Eric went out to the back porch and saw our neighbor Tyrell running across the parking lot after someone. Eric went down stairs to investigate so I stepped out on the back porch to talk with Artina who was also standing on her porch. Tyrell comes back around the parking garage and said he had an encounter with a man who was holding a Gas can who he had been chasing. Long story short the man was attempting to seiphen gasoline out of our neighbor's SUV when the alarm went off. I guess this has been one of many attempts though Eri

Fall Warms my heart, and my home.

Eric, Aquaman and I decided to take a walk after work today, he was so much fun to watch run and play in the leaves; Aquaman that is ... not Eric. :o) I got a few really good pictures in check out http://www.abbys365.blogspot.com/ . Much Love - Abby

Pumpkin-fied

We have had quite the Halloween Filled weekend! I can't believe how much wonderful Octoberness we've had! Friday night we went over to John and Kerri Santo's and carved pumpkins for their Halloween party next week. The pumpkins in the first picture were carved by Eric, Then Kerri, John and Myself. Today I decided I just didn't get enough pumpkin Carving done so We would go for Round three! Eric and I both carved a large and a small Pumpkin. The Challenge was getting the family photo afterwards. Aquaman was being very cute and trying to steal pumpkin seeds out of our pile and sneaking them away. all in all we had a great carve. We also had a wonderful meal of Deadman Meatloaf (photo above). Hope you are all enjoying the season like we are! Much Love! Abby

Coffee and Cavemen...

Hello you wonderful Blog readers! I wanted to announce that I indeed have a new love in my life. His name is "Grande Pumpkin spice White Mocha, Extra hot". The Barista at the local Starbucks on the Corner of 4th and Pine introduced me to this wonderful beverage and I will forever have a new fall drink. And most of all it left me thinking... "why didn't I think of this sooner? Putting together two things that make me most happy in life White Mocha's and Pumpkin spice Latte's in the fall. " I Loved it SO much that I even took a picture of the cup. I'm such a nerd! Additonally ... "the kids'" wonderful Aunt Tacy bought Aquaman a cute little Dinosaur costume for Halloween. It is a little small for him, but we put it on and will continue to have him wear it because he likes to chase the Caveman that sits on the back of the dinosaur costume. However, being that it's a little small for the dog it seems to fit the cat perfectly. If you didn

Sushi Icky

Hey guys! I just wanted to post this picture to show you how incredibly brave I have become. This is Salmon Roe... aka Salmon Eggs. Last night Eric and I went out for sushi. I am not a huge fan but they make great Teriyaki at the place we go to and Eric Loves him some sushi! The resturant we frequent has some beautiful artistry when it comes to their pieces, so I wanted to post a couple pictures. Oh yeah, and as for my bravery? I tried the Salmon Roe. It pops in your mouth and tastes like salty fish. My over all evaluation? YUCK! But, hey, at least I was brave enough to try it! This is a Volcano Roll.. Just mostly beautiful, I didn't try it. ♥ Abby

Pumpkin Patch

We went Pumpkin Patchin today... Aquaman did really well, but mostly just made for cute photos! I can't wait to carve the pumpkins... Next weekend perhaps?

Monster Mash!

I have had one Spooky weekend! On Friday afterwork Patsy, Tacy, Tim, Eric and I all went to the Seattle Children's Theater and watched a campy version of "The Night of the Living Dead". It was a pretty cute production and I really really enjoyed every second! After the play we all went out to grab a bite to eat at the Frontier room, it was great BBQ and we had fun getting to know eachother better outside of the office. Saturday Fallon and Jason Came over to carve pumpkins, eat pizza and then we went to the Kube 93 Haunted House, it was set up at the Old Georgetown morgue. We all screamed a Lot! There was something to scare everyone in that place! Amazing! Here's a photo of Fallon and I with our pumpkins. I hope to go buy more tomorrow for Eric and I to carve together. Can you guess which Pumpkin is mine? -abby

Random Blog

Greetings!I finally got my photo’s developed yesterday so I thought I would post a couple that I was entertained by. Here we are in Yakima at a baseball game. It was our Labor Day weekend trip and boy was it cold outside! The Bears won 3-2 but the mascot was really disappointing, the food wasn’t bad. All in all, a good stadium to add to our list. Here’s Aquaman and his favorite Toy Ever; The Shoe! This is Gracie doing what cat’s do best… Sit in and on top of things Hope all is well ♥ Abby

A Quiet Weekend at Home.

What a rainy, fogy dreary Seattle day! Isn’t it beautiful?I always feel so contemplative in the rain, perhaps that’s why I love Seattle so much. It completely suits my moods almost 100% of the time. I had to rewrite my lame blog from this weekend – I always do better work when I’m concentrating on what I’m writing as opposed to reading recipes, watching TV and getting Aquaman to stop attacking my hands while I type. Friday night Eric & I went out to eat at Claim Jumper and ran some errands in South Center including picking up Aquaman’s most amazing Halloween costume – Spiderman! Then we went home to watch Fright Night! We had a really quiet weekend nothing HUGE to report. It was nice to be home with Eric, Aquaman & Gracie. On Saturday morning Aquaman was running circles on our bed so I got up and took him outside for a nice little walk around the park. I got home and started making Halloween sugar cookie cut outs. After setting off the Fire alarm & waking up Eric in the pro

Vacation 101

So – a lot of you have been asking me “are you coming home this year?” That’s such a great question, and since you’re my loving family and friends I would like to share with you our plans for 2009 vacation (s). I have 2 gracious weeks of vacation time and 1 week personal time that I am allowed to spend in the span of the 2009 year. Holidays this year are out of the question because I am taking 2 days off for Christmas this year and we like to rotate holidays so the same people don’t have to work every year, so next year Christmas Eve and the day after Thanksgiving are going to be spent here smiling behind my big desk! So here... we... GO- Eric & I would like to take a trip that we call our "adventure" for the year. Which usually includes going to a couple state's we've never been to and being tourists. This year we're contemplating between Cleveland; Ohio, Chicago; Illinois & New York; New York. Naturally there will be ballparks involved and quite a few t

cRAVE

Hello All! Last night was our debut of cRAVE which is the new worship night for the kids in our youth group at Grace. It’s Tuesday nights at 7pm. Eric is playing the drum with the band and I have been working on the message team trying to give the message of a sermon without giving a sermon. We had about 35 youth come to cRAVE and most seemed to have a smile on their face when they left, so I think our job was done. I would say the only thing that went askew is halfway through the first testimony the microphone died. It had a really cool effect until that happened. It didn’t have the same effect after that, but I think the message was heard. I will try to post pictures next week, this week I was so busy running around making sure everything was up to par that I didn’t have time to take one. When we arrived home we were greeted by this little guy… I like to think that I inspired my neighbors to decorate for Halloween as well! I was pretty excited to see it! I think I will name him Melvi

Happy OCTOBER --- HALLOWEEN MONTH!

Our Front Door! A Close up of the Skeleton Family! SCARRYYYY!!!!! ---------- I got these neat pumpkin patch things! I love em! HAPPY FIRST DAY OF HALLOWEEN MONTH!!!Okay – So No, I don’t believe that October is Halloween month but I treat it as such. I was leaving my house this morning (at 5:50 am) running late for the bus when I decided I wanted to stop and take a few quick pictures of our front entrance that I’ve “decked out”. I am pretty proud of it, and I hope it inspires you to do the same! We have been busy this week, Aquaman has needed constant supervision for we feel it’s a little cruel to make him wear his inflate – a – collar nonstop. We are also helping out with our youth group’s new cRAVE night. It’s going to be worship for Jr High & High School youth, Eric’s playing the drum in the band and I’m working with the message team. It’s going to keep us plenty busy on Tuesday nights, but we’re looking forward to it. We had a big long meeting / practice last night and so tonigh
